Like most island states, Fiji regards the threat of climate change as one that will undermine international peace and stability.
Those were the words of Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama as he addressed the 64th session of the UN General Assembly in New York yesterday.
Commodore Bainimarama called on all states, in particular the major emitters to be responsible and committed to carbon emission targets.
