Be proactive this weekend and report any black market sales of liquor.
Those are the words of the Liquor Tribunal Chairman Magistrate Ajmal Gulab Khan, as the nation braces for the Rugby World Cup Sevens long weekend.
He said the illegal sale of liquor is often linked to many criminal activities and assaults.
While hundreds of license holders are often taken to task for breaching the liquor act, hundreds of others operate without a license and according to Khan the public should be held responsible.
Magistrate Khan added that another major concern is that these illegal operators do not hesitate to sell liquor to minors and these need to be dealt with.
