Please ensure that when you drive, the safety of your passengers as well as the general public is foremost.
That is the message from the Director Traffic SSP Mahesh Mishra who is calling on drivers to be alert and considerate while driving on the roads.
He said Police Traffic Control officers will be on the road to ensure road users are safe, adding that breathlizer tests will be conducted.
SSP Mishra also reveals that a driver was arrested last night for drunk sriving while, there was a total of 146 traffic infringement notices issued and 85 cases of speeding nationwide.
This morning four vehicles were involved in two different accidents along Rewa Street and Grantham Road.
An eye witness told Fijivillage news that a private vehicle and a taxi collided at the Rewa Street junction while in another accident, two taxis were involved in an accident opposite the Raiwaqa Post Office.
