The National Fire Authority is now calling on members of the public to be more vigilant when at home especially when small children are at home.
Acting Chief Fire Officer at the National Fire Authority, Rokotalia Saubulinayau said noting the weather pattern, this is the time of the year when fires tend to spread quickly.
This follows a series of fires over the past two weeks, the latest of which happened on Thursday where twelve people in Nadawa lost their homes after a candle left burning in one of the rooms is believed to have sparked the blaze.
