The Fiji Men’s and Women’s Basketball team's competing in the Oceania Youth tournament in Guam, have a very good chance of reaching the quarterfinal stages.

They lost their opening round match on Sunday evening but bounced back to win their second round of Pool games last night.

The Men’s team defeated Palau 67-47 and will now meet Australia in the final pool match today. They lost to Tahiti 44-74.

Meanwhile, the Women’s team defeated Northern Marianas by 69 goals to 46. They lost their opening match to Australia by 108 goals to 8 and will today face Tahiti. A win tonight will put Fiji women’s team in the quarterfinals.

Fiji is ranked third in this tournament behind Australia and New Zealand.
