Bau Chief Ratu Epenisa Cakobau has been fined $500 and told to pay $300 compensation to Meli Bainimarama, the son of the Interim Prime Minister, within the next 14 days.
Ratu Epenisa earlier pleaded guilty to two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and disorderly conduct. The incident happened at Birdland nightclub in Suva between 1 to 4am in early September this year.
Ratu Epenisa assaulted Bainimarama following an argument inside the nightclub.
