Bau chief Ratu Epenisa Cakobau is expected to know his fate by this afternoon when Magistrate John Semisi hands down his sentence.
Ratu Epenisa earlier pleaded guilty to two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and disorderly conduct on 21 year old soldier Meli Bainimarama. The incident happened at Birdland nightclub in Suva between 1 to 4am in early September this year.
Ratu Epenisa assaulted Bainimarama following an argument inside the nightclub. The sentencing will be handed down at 2:30 this afternoon.
