The Vodafone Fiji Bati is not in Australia just to make numbers in the Rugby League World Cup.
Team manager Ilaitia Naqau said they want to show the world that Pacific Island teams are also a force to be reckoned with and can take any team head-to-head.
Naqau said preparations so far have fallen well into place.
Naqau said beating France won't be tough, as they have watched them play against Scotland.
The Vodafone Fiji Bati will play France on Saturday at 6:25pm.
Meanwhile, in last night's only match Tonga defeated Ireland by 22 points to 20.
