Basketball Fiji is hoping home advantage will pay off when tomorrow’s FIBA Oceania Under 19 Basketball Championships kick off.      

The Secretary General for Basketball Fiji Ned Taito said it will also be a big task for them which will also be interesting.

Taito said they are also in the middle of their development phase for the youth players preparing for next years Pacific Games.

10 teams will be competing from across the region in both the mens and womens competitions, with a spot at the World Championships in Greece on offer for the winners.

The Oceania Championships begins tomorrow with the womens team to play Samoa at 5pm while the mens team plays American Samoa at 7pm.
