Prices and Incomes Board officers are monitoring the prices of basic food items in major supermarkets and retail outlets around the country.
PIB Secretary, Ane Naulivou said the prices of basic food items are going down effective from today and their officers are trying to ensure that proper pricing is done.
Meanwhile, prices of baby milk of all types either imported or locally packed, powdered milk, imported butter, corned beef and mutton, edible oils of all types, ghee, rice, salt, noodles and sugar has decreased by 10% from today while prices of margarine and chicken goes down by 12% and prices of garlic, potatoes and onion have gone down by 15%.
