Bart Cummings is pushing for a fourth Melbourne Cup runner next Tuesday to further strengthen his attempt at his first clean sweep of the spring carnival majors.

Cummings, who won his seventh Caulfield Cup with "Viewed" and fourth Cox Plate with "So You Think" in the space of just seven days, said he would try to add to his Melbourne Cup hand on Saturday, in the final ballot-free race for the Cup.

The 81yr-old trainer will attempt to qualify lowly ranked "Dandaad" and "Think Money" for a Melbourne Cup run through Saturday's group 3 Lexus Quality.

This year, Cummings has at least three prime chances of a 13th Melbourne Cup - Viewed, Caulfield Cup runner-up Roman Emperor and Allez Wonder are confirmed in the 24-horse line-up next Tuesday.
