Wallabies and Waratahs star back Berrick Barnes is hoping to make his Super Rugby comeback but doesn't hold much faith that he will be named to face the Stormers this weekend.

Barnes made a late entry to Super Rugby this season due to a knee injury and then in his fifth round return match  against the Cheetahs after 18 minutes he dislocated his thumb.

Barnes has now recovered from surgery and is available for selection along with Wallabies winger Drew Mitchell.

The Waratahs will play the Stormers at 9:40pm Saturday.

Meanwhile tomorrow night the Chiefs will take on the Force at 7:35 while the Reds host the Sharks at 9:40pm.
