New South Wales Waratahs coach Michael Cheika expects Berrick Barnes to return for the Super Rugby match against the Cheetahs.
Barnes missed the opening three rounds of the season with a knee injury sustained during a training session with Sydney University in January.
Rob Horne is also likely to return after recovering from a hamstring injury, though Cheika is yet to decide whether he will start against the Cheetahs or play from the bench.
At 8.20pm Friday, the Waratahs play the Cheetahs while at 6.35pm Friday, the Highlanders play the Hurricanes.
On Saturday at 5.10am, the Kings face the Chiefs, the Crusaders clash with the Bulls at 6.35pm.
On Sunday, at 3.05am, Sharks face the Brumbies.
