A lot is expected from the 12 players that have been named in the Digicel Fiji Barbarians for the Fiji Bitter Marist 7's tournament this weekend.
Captain Setefano Cakau, Nemani Nagusa, Apisai Naiyabo, Jimilai Naikadawa and Timoci Vakadranu are in the forwards.
Nikola Matawalu, Mitieli Nacagilevu, Joeli Lutumailagi, Sikeli Vuruna, Ilai Tinai, Isimeli Taqea and Joji Raqamate are in the backs.
Other players like Waisea Nayacalevu, Lepani Botia, Avenisi Vasuinubu and Metuisela Talebula have been rested for this week’s tournament but will be considered for selection for the Hong Kong Sevens tournament.
Fiji 7's assistant coach, Etuate Waqa said some new players have forced their way in the team and this is being done to make a compatible team which will go to Hong Kong later this month.
The Fiji Bitter Marist Sevens will be held this Friday and Saturday at the TFL National Stadium.
