The Digicel Fiji Barbarians is expecting a brutal, fierce and grueling encounter at this week’s Fiji Bitter Marist Sevens.

The Barbarians are the shadow Fiji side for the upcoming Hong Kong and Japan Sevens tournament and this weekend’s tournament is all about building their combinations and getting the players to understand each other well.

The 36 year old Marist Sevens is not favoring the Fiji Barbarians team as they have just recorded one win in 2009 from all of their previous outing.

Assistant Coach Etuate Waqa said with two weeks left to prepare for the next leg, he knows most of the current Fiji Barbarians squad will be selected for the next World Sevens Series tournaments.
