Fiji’s Centenary celebrations turned sour as the Barbarians thumped the Flying Fijians 43-19 at Twickenham early this morning.

South African hooker Bismarck du Plessis was the star of the show, scoring two tries.

It was the Fijians who were first on the scoreboard on seven minutes after a majestic piece of play from fullback Nikola Matawalu.

He made a break from deep, stepped six players and then offloaded to Asaeli Tikoirotuma, who scored the try, Seremaia Bai added the extras.

Alex Rokobaro scored with the final play of the game to leave the score at 43-19.
