Interim Minister for Transport, Manu Korovulavula has today confirmed that Manasa Baravilala's appointment as the new Air Terminal Services Chairman has nothing to do with his family connections.
Korovulavula said Baravilala was chosen based on merit and it had nothing to do with him being the son of the Interim Health Minister.
Baravilala was appointed as ATS Chairman earlier this week by Korovulavula to replace Confederation of Public sector Unions General Secretary, Rajeshwar Singh, who is now the Deputy Chairman of the ATS Board.
The ATS Chief Executive Position is yet to be filled, with a name to be confirmed for the post soon.
