“Banuve Tabakaucoro has not withdrawn from athletics”.
This is the word from Athletic Fiji head coach Albert Miller after there was some speculation that the sprint king has withdrawn from the sport.
Miller said the Pacific’s fastest man has just withdrawn from the scholarship.
Miller added they are trying to meet with Tabakaucoro’s parents to discuss the sprinter’s next step.
Meanwhile, threee athletes have so far qualified for the London Olympics this year.
They are Glenn Cable of shooting, Leslie Copeland from athletics along with Japan-based judoka Josateki Naulu.
