Coca Cola Games, Best Male Athlete of 2009, Marist Brothers High School Intermediate Boys sprinter, Banuve Tabakaucoro, created history at the TFL stadium after he was named the top of the batch for the boys.

The officials at the Coca Cola Games broke the tradition as the Best Male athlete always went to the Senior Grade, but this year they thought it fit to go to Banuve after he broke the record in the 100 metres in a time of 10.71 seconds, which meant that he also broke the Senior Boys 100 metres record which stood at 10.74 seconds.

Speaking to Fijivillage News Banuve said that he is looking forward to next years meet where he hopes to break the record again.
