A bank officer charged with 34 counts of larceny by servant, forgery and uttering forged document appeared in Suva Magistrates court.

It is alleged that between 23rd March and May 2009, 35 year old Aslim Khan forged the signature of a Sangeeta Devi Prasad on a withdrawal slip and withdrew $2,700 from a savings account which was for her son.

An investigation was carried out after which it was found out that Khan allegedly withdrew the money.

No plea was taken and the case has been adjourned to 29th January.
