The Bank officer charged with stealing more than $125 000 from a customer's account appeared in Court this afternoon and was refused bail.

Nyon Clayton Willams appeared before Magistrate Mesake Wakavonoloa charged with 133 counts of Larceny and 2 counts of uttering a false statement and 2 counts of forgery.

It is alleged that between June of this year up until early December 2008, Willams withdrew from Mun Lata's account while he was abroad.

Lata only realized that something was wrong when he checked his account and found that he only had $3.37 cents left. He then notified Police and the Bank management.

Willams was denied bail by Magistrate Wakanivonoloa as the matter was a serious one and he has been remanded in custody until the 31st when his plea will be taken.
