Police have arrested and charged a Bank Officer of Suva for allegedly stealing more than $125,000 from a customer's account.
Police have confirmed that the owner of the bank account went overseas and when he enquired about his account he was informed that he had only $3.37 left.
He reported the matter to the bank management and upon enquiring it was established that the Bank officer created another account and withdrew the money from his account and deposited into the new account. He will appear in court today.
