The Prime Minister's National Relief and Rehabilitation Bank Account has been open on the request of the interim prime minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama to allow for business houses and other people to donate cash for the flood victims.
Commodore Bainimarama said that any amount can be donated in this account at the Colonial Bank and all contributions will be acknowledged. He said the funds collected will supplement the Interim Governments contribution under the National Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Program.
He said the account number is 4706578 at the Colonial Bank. The Interim Prime Minister said that apart from contributing in cash, people can also make donations of food, ration and clothing which can be taken to the Divisional Commissioners offices in each district.
