New national rugby sevens rep Vucago Banitabua still cannot believe that he will not only feature in this weekend’s Fiji Water Centennial Oceania 7s but he will also rub shoulders with some of the world’s best in Gold Coast next week.

The 24-year old who burst into the scene while playing for Red Rock said he has one man to thank for his achievements.

Banitabua played at wing for Lautoka in this year’s Digicel Cup and Farebrother Sullivan trophy challenge against Suva.

Meanwhile, the non-traveling reserves for the Gold Coast tournament are Waisea Nacuqu of Westfield Barbarians, Osea Kolinisau, Ledua Ratumuri and Fiji Under 18 skipper Mesulame Dolokoto.

The Gold Coast 7s kicks off next Saturday and Fiji is pooled with Canada, Portugal and Wales.
