The ban placed on the selling of pre-cooked sea food and meat in the market is a temporary but necessary measure.
These are the words of Health Ministry's Food Unit Director, Jone Tamani speaking at a Health Forum organised by the Suva City Council today.
Tamani said they are still investigating the incident where a woman is suspected to have died from chemical poisoning after eating pre-packed mud lobster bought from the Suva Market.
He adds that they are now collecting samples of raw and cooked mud lobster.
More than 40 market vendors from Suva, Nausori, Raiwaqa and Lautoka were present at the Health Forum.
