Businessman Ballu Khan is in Police custody after being discharged from CWM Hospital at 11 this morning and was escorted by Police to the CID Headquarters in Suva St.
Khan was not in a condition to walk and thus was carried by two police officers from the Paying Ward at the hospital into a police vehicle. While in the vehicle, Khan was handcuffed. Khan refused to make any comments.
Director Major Crime, Prem Adip Singh said Khan will be questioned by Police this hour on allegations of his involvement in the assassination plot against the Interim Prime Minister and others.
Khan's lawyer, Tevita Fa said the medical report that he received stated that Ballu Khan should be taken overseas for medical treatment.
Speaking to reporters outside the CID headquarters after visiting Khan, who is in police custody, Fa said Khan still has injuries although he can talk.
Meanwhile, Khan's partner Agnes Bulatiko said she was delighted to see Khan again after two weeks
