The Pacific Games 400m bronze medalist Paulini Korowaqa will start as the favorite in the intermediate girls 200m and 400m events during the Coke Light Games at the National Sports Stadium next week.
The Nairukuruku native from the highlands of Naitasiri will be the top bet to take out the two gold medals for Ballantine Memorial School.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Korowaqa said she was aiming for nothing less than gold in the two-day competition.
Korowaqa has been running around the 56 seconds mark while the record in the intermediate girls 400m stands at 57.49 seconds - a 2004 record held by Miriama Radiniwaimaro of Sila Central.
