The ousted Attorney General Qoriniasi Bale has been approached by the terminated Chairman of the Great Council of Chiefs Ratu Ovini Bokini to assist in his case against the Interim Fijian Affairs Minister.

Ratu Ovini has confirmed to Village News that he has requested Bale to assist in compiling submissions on the termination of the GCC members. Ratu Ovini refused to comment further.

When contacted by Village News, the ousted Justice Minister Qoriniasi Bale said it was a sensitive issue and he will neither confirm nor deny anything.

Lawyers representing Ratu Ovini Bokini and Ratu Sakiusa Makutu, Savenaca Komaisavai and Kitione Vuataki referred all questions to the Tui Tavua.

Meanwhile, it is understood that Bale is assisting in putting together submissions in response to the interim government's application that their case for a judicial review be struck out on the grounds that all appointments to the GCC in the past have been null and void.

The case is adjourned to November 12th.
