A baker in Lautoka believes sales of bread will drop if bread prices are increased following increase in prices of flour and sharp today.
Owner of Keshwa Enterprises in Drasa Avenue, Keshwa Prasad Sharma said cost of making bread will definitely increase from today and both consumers and businessmen will be affected.
Sharma said bakers in Lautoka are expected to meet later today to decide on new prices of bread which will be submitted to Prices and Incomes Board.
Prices and Incomes Board has announced that the increase in prices of flour and sharps is due to world market price of wheat and the impact of the devaluation of Fiji dollar in April.
