Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama said ousted Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase should realize that the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption is now a threat to his freedom.
While reacting strongly to Qarase's statements earlier today for a quick return to democracy, Bainimarama said FICAC is currently investigating Qarase in relation to certain allegations levelled against him and everyone should allow this process to be completed.
He also stresses that the international community should allow for necessary changes to be made to the electoral systems before any decision is made on the elections.
Commodore Bainimarama has also said that the country needs true democracy and that will take time.
