Army Commander Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama has raised concerns that only a small number of soldiers are able to leave for peace keeping duties as most are not meeting Health Audit requirements.

As part of his speech at the first Commander’s military parade at QEB this morning, Commodore Bainimarama said most of the soldiers fail to pass these health audits as they were drinking too much grog, smoking a lot and not eating the right food to help keep them healthy.

He stressed that following health reviews this year if soldiers fail to meet with health requirements they will be disciplined.
