The interim prime minister has stressed that he does not want an unstable Fiji and will not allow anyone to take the country in that direction.

Commodore Frank Bainimarama said the authorities will clamp down on any inciteful remarks as freedom of expression does not extend to any person who is trying to incite people to bring instability in the country.

Bainimarama also said the media should not cross the line when it comes to publishing inciteful statements.

He said people should remember that those who caused instability back in 2000 are still around.
