Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama has questioned why ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase refuses to contribute to the proposed People’s Charter for Change and Progress.

Commodore Bainimarama is calling on Qarase to stop continuously criticizing the interim government but instead be more helpful and contribute to the People's Charter which has been endorsed by President Ratu Josefa Iloilo.

After Qarase earlier criticized Bainimarama for reducing the size of the interim cabinet, the Interim Prime Minister said this is the path to efficiency and further contributes to the massive savings that the interim government has achieved so far.

As the first ever meeting of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji is set to get underway next Wednesday, ousted Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase earlier today said the outcome of the meetings will be worthless and invalid.

Qarase believes that the key players like the SDL Party are not part of the National Council and questions how the new People's Charter can be implemented if it is unconstitutional.
