Residents, Business houses and public service operators in Lami are frustrated with the bad road conditions in their area.
Fijivillage News today spoke to some people in Wailada and the nearby areas who stressed that Lami Town Council has been doing nothing to maintain the roads.
Fiji Coffee's Financial Controller, Chandrika Prasad has confirmed that they have decided to stop the rate payments to the Council until the Wailada road is repaired.
We also spoke to bus and taxi operators from Lami who said roads in Lami have been in pathetic condition from some years and nothing has been done to maintain it.
The Lami Town Mayor, Tevita Vuatalevu is expected to comment in the next hour.
