Police in Lautoka are investigating the discovery of the body of a baby found in a sack at Navutu beach yesterday.
Assistant Police Spokesperson Corporal Suliano Tevita said the baby's body was discovered by two young girls who were looking for fish bait along the beach.
The body was put into a large bucket and then in a sack before it was thrown into the sea.
Police are looking for the mother of the child.
