The new born baby which was found dead in a pit toilet in a village in Noco, Rewa died due to drowning.
Regional Crime Officer Eastern, ASP Aca White confirmed they received the post mortem report yesterday afternoon and the 17 year old mother is currently being questioned at the Nausori Police station.
According to Police, the matter was reported to Police by a nurse from Wainibokasi hospital when the 17 year old girl went for treatment.
The alleged incident took place over the weekend.
