A four month old baby girl died in Sigatoka this morning after her father allegedly while intoxicated slept on top of her.
Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro confirmed that the incident occurred in a village and it is also alleged the four month old baby was left alone at her home.
The suspect is in custody while the body of the four month old baby is at the Sigatoka hospital as investigations continue.
Naisoro said investigations will explore the line of parental negligence and both parents will be questioned.
