Police are looking for a woman who abandoned her 2 day old baby at the Nausori Maternity Unit at about 2pm yesterday afternoon.
The woman arrived at the hospital on Friday and gave birth at about 11.30pm. Nothing was prepared for the baby as the mother came alone to the hospital until she abandoned the baby.
The baby is currently in the care of doctors and nurses at the Nausori Maternity Unit in good health.
The woman, who is about 1.6 meters tall and of fair complexion, was wearing a brown and orange skirt with a brown top when she left the hospital,
Police are appealing to the members of the public to contact Crime Stoppers if they have any information about the whereabouts of this woman.
