Police are looking for a mother who threw her new born baby in a drain in Vere Road, Laucala Beach, yesterday.
The baby's body was discovered by an 18 year old student after he discovered a foul smell coming from a drain beside his house.
The partly decomposed body is currently at the mortuary at the CWM Hospital.
Police are expected to question some people in the area soon.
Police are also calling for information from members of the public to locate the mother.
