Police are still awaiting the post mortem result of the baby whose body was found floating in the Labasa river Saturday night.
Some members of the public saw the body and informed police who retrieved the body after initial investigations were conducted.
Police are also looking for the baby's mother and are appealing the public to come forward and assist police in finding her.
