Baby Flying Fijians suffer loss
Last Sunday, Fiji lost 44-11 to the defending champion New Zealand and now lie in 3rd spot in Pool A facing a must win situation against Samoa to maintain a spot in the next World Cup.
The Severo Domoni captained side’s discipline let them down throughout the match after Kolinio Nala-sekata was yellow carded in the first half and was followed by Emosi Ugavule later in the second spell.
Wales scored three tries in the game with two of the tries scored when Fiji was playing with 14 players.
Coach Eroni Vereivalu had to rely on the boots of England based fly half Josh Matavesi for Fiji's only points.
In the other game in Fiji's group, the Baby Blacks thumped Samoa 77-7.
Fiji’s next game is against Samoa on Monday.
