Police are investigating the discovery of the body of a fully formed baby that was found floating in the Labasa river yesterday evening.
Some members of the public saw the body and informed police who retrieved the body after initial investigations were conducted.
The body is now at the Labasa Hospital mortuary, while Police are awaiting a post mortem report.
Police appeal for information from members of the public in locating the mother.
