Nausori Police are still questioning the 22 year old mother who threw her two babies into the Rewa River on Monday night.
Divisional Crime Officer Eastern, ASP Ramesh Chand confirms that a post morterm has already been conducted and the 22 year old is expected to be charged later today.
The bodies of a two month old baby and a 1 year 10 month old baby were found floating in the river by Police yesterday afternoon after conducting a search.
The woman, who is from Khalsa Road, is believed to have had an heated argument with her husband after which she is believed to have allegedly thrown her babies into the river.
Police say the mother was missing from home from Monday night and when the husband managed to locate the wife, he was advised that babies were thrown in the river.
