Courts Homecentre IDC defending champion Vodafone Ba and Navua will be the teams to beat after an impressive performance in their opening pool games yesterday.
Playing without Coach Yogendra Dutt, who was tied up with teaching committments, the Men In Black entertained the crowd with some great soccer skills to beat Tavua 2 goals to 1.
Tuimasi Manuca scored both goals of Ba's in the first and second half with Tavua's goal coming in during the second half through a penalty.
President Rishi Kumar summed it up in a few words saying that his boys were in the capital city to defend what belongs to them.
Tonight at 7.15, they will take on Navua who will be out to upset them.
Navua Coach Saiyad Ali said that they will take each game as it comes and are out to book a spot in the semi-final.
The side has started its campaign on a high note with a 2 goals to 1 win against Lautoka.
