Ba and Labasa will go in as the top favorites when the Courts Homcentres IDC gets underway this Thursday at the Post Fiji stadium.
The Men In Black are hoping for a back-to-back title after winning it last year while Labasa will be out to break the 12-year-drought as they last won in 1994.
Labasa on Saturday won the 2007 National Soccer League title after 16 years, putting more pressure on reigning IDC champions Ba.
Fiji FA President, Doctor Shamsud-Dean Sahu Khan said because of the upsets in the National Soccer League this season, it is really hard to say which teams will shine in the final major soccer tournament of the year.
The Courts Homecentres IDC starts on Thursday at 5pm with the opening match between Navua and Lautoka.
