The Ba soccer team has won the Courts IDC title after they defeated Nadi 2-1 this afternoon.
Ba has clinched this title after five years which is their 22nd IDC title.
Both teams were locked one-all after full time.
Ba’s midfielder Abbu Zaheed scored the winning goal for the Men In Black in the second spell of extra time.
Zaheed also scored the winning goal for Ba in the semifinal against Suva this morning.
Nadi’s veteran defender Viliame Toma broke the hearts of the Ba fans in the 15th minute of the first half when he found the back of the net.
In the second minute of the second half Ba’s Avinesh Waran Swamy equalized through a penalty.
After the final Abbu Zaheed dedicated this win to his mother and all the Ba fans.
He said he will continue to play for Ba next year and hopes to help Men In Black win more titles.
Meanwhile, Taveuni won the Premier Final by beating Dreketi 1-0,
In the Secondary School division, Drasa Secondary School edged Saraswati College 2-1 and Ba Primary took out the Primary Division by beating Labasa Primary 2-1.
