The Ba soccer team has won the Champion versus Champion Series for the 18th time after beating Nadi 2-1 in the third and final match of the Pillay Garment Champion versus Champion Series at Churchill Park.
Ba dominated the early stages of the game and took the lead in the 34th minute with a goal from Mavaliko Nakama.
It did not take long for the Nadi side to equalize, when in the 44th minute Uraia Loki leveled terms.
The match ended 1-all and was played in extra time.
Osea vakatalesau proved to be the hero for the Ba side who scored the winning goal in the 10th minute of the second extra-spell.
Meanwhile in the Fiji Sun Skipper Tuna National Football league Labasa defeated Nadroga 3-1.
Joseph Mishra scored one goal while Pita Bolaitoga scored two goals for the Babasiga Lions and Watisoni Kamoka scored one for the Stallions.
Meanwhile at 3pm today at the ANZ Stadium Suva will host the Navua side.
