Ba wants end to 60 minute soccer
The Ba soccer team has won the title 22 times from 1938 and now the Men in Black want a change.
President Rishi Kumar said their first match is always tough in any tournament and for some time his players have not delivered the expected results.
Kumar added the focus is set and things will roll according to plan from 6.30 tonight.
The Labasa soccer team will field its powerhouse lineup against Ba tonight in the Courts IDC.
The two teams have great rivalry from the past and tonight will be no different.
Labasa coach Gurjeet Singh said he is blessed to be coaching a team which has all 22 players that can play in the starting lineup.
The Ba and Labasa match kicks off at 6.30pm and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
Meanwhile, at 4.30pm Navua will play Tavua in the first match with the official opening starting at 6pm.
In the Premier Division matches played this morning, Nalawa beat Vatukoula 2-nil and Bua and Nadogo drew nil-all.
Tailevu/Naitasiri beat Levuka 2-1 while Nasinu defeated Rakiraki 1-nil.
