The Ba soccer team was thrashed 6-1 by Auckland City this afternoon in the semifinal of the OFC Champions league.

This now means that Ba will have to beat Auckland City by five clear goals in the second leg and stop Auckland City from scoring any away goal.

Today’s game was filled with controversy as two Ba players Avinesh Waran and Meli Codro were red carded due to indiscipline.

Ba coach, Yogendra Dutt was also told to leave the reserve bench area in the first half who had exchanged some words with the match officials.

Tuimasi Manuca scored the lone goal for Ba in the first half.

Ba will now host Auckland City at 2pm this Saturday at Govind Park in the second leg.
