The Ba soccer team has made an impressive start to their OFC Campaign after beating AS Magenta 2-nil in their opening pool encounter.
Ba’s goal came from Captain Osea Vakatalesau and Abbu Zahid as the Men in Black dominated the game to start off the tournament on a high.
Speaking to Fijivillage after the match, Vakatalesau said the win was possible through hard work and dedication by the players.
Vakatalesau earlier missed a penalty which could have given Ba an early lead but managed to get the opening goal after a well placed trough pass from Avinesh Warran Suwamy.
Pita Bolatoga, Tui-masi Manuca and Taniela Waqa’s Hekari United lost their opening match 3-1 to Tafea FC.
